“In today’s digital landscape, where cyber threats are more sophisticated than ever, our clients need absolute confidence that their data is protected to the highest standard".
SMPnet has announced its accreditation to ISO/IEC 27001:2022, the globally recognised standard for Information Security Management Systems (ISMS). Following a rigorous planning period, during which SMPnet systems were assessed against ISO requirements, the certification was awarded by leading testing agency, KIWA, in March 2025. The new accreditation demonstrates SMPnet’s commitment to maintaining the highest standards of information security, establishing a structured approach to managing sensitive data, mitigating risks, and ensuring compliance with international regulations. By implementing the Information Security Management System (ISMS) in alignment with ISO 27001, SMPnet systematically protects its systems, infrastructure, and customer data from security threats.
For SMPnet’s clients, ISO 27001 accreditation provides further assurance that their data is secure, managed responsibly, and protected against cyber threats. It confirms that SMPnet follows industry best practices to safeguard information, reducing risks of data breaches and unauthorised access. It also demonstrates SMPnet’s ability to comply with regulatory requirements, which is particularly critical for industries dealing with sensitive information.
SMPnet’s Head of Business Operations, Konstantinos Rousis said of the accreditation, "Achieving ISO 27001 certification is a landmark moment for SMPnet and a clear demonstration of our unwavering commitment to security, trust, and operational excellence”.
“In today’s digital landscape, where cyber threats are more sophisticated than ever, our clients need absolute confidence that their data is protected to the highest standard. This accreditation not only reinforces our ability to safeguard critical information but also standardises many of our operational procedures, ensuring efficiency, consistency, and resilience across the business. It strengthens our internal processes, enhances risk management, and embeds a culture of continuous improvement. For our clients and partners, this means working with a company that doesn’t just meet security expectations—we exceed them, delivering reliability and compliance at every level".
This accreditation ensures that SMPnet has robust policies and procedures for risk management, data protection, business continuity, and security compliance. The scope of the ISMS includes key operational units such as Information Security, IT & Engineering, Human Resources, and Legal, while also covering cloud services like Amazon Web Services (AWS), Microsoft 365, and GitHub.
With the ISO 27001 accreditation, SMPnet reaffirms its dedication to protecting customer data and maintaining best-in-class security standards in an ever-evolving digital landscape.
