SMPnet’s adaptive grid optimisation software, Optisys, is now available on Barbara’s Marketplace following a strategic partnership announcement. Barbara, a leading Edge Computing platform for Digital Grid has been expanding its offering of Edge applications across the smart grid industry and will now host Optisys, a product from SMPnet’s Omega suite, on its established edge computing framework.

Combining SMPnet expertise in grid optimisation and real-time control with Barbara’s robust and cyber secure edge infrastructure, this collaboration sets a new benchmark for scalable, low-latency power grid management, boosting resilience, and operational efficiency amid high renewable energy adoption. Such an offering addresses critical industry challenges related to grid stability and distributed energy resource (DER) integration.
