Tackling critical industry challenges, in discussion on Naftemporiki TV

At SMPnet we always welcome the opportunity to talk about our industry and the critical challenges that the world faces in energy management.  Our work takes us to some interesting places and last week was a first for CEO, Anastasios Rousis and CTO, Dimitrios Tzelepis as they were invited to speak with Christina Kousouni on Greek business and financial news channel, Naftemporiki TV.

The discussion centred on the necessary transformation required to the grid in Greece and across the world as the move towards smarter, more sustainable energy continues to grow.  This topic is currently fueling huge debate in Greece. The interview covered the energy transition and the challenges faced by the energy industry in delivering consistent, reliable power where and when it’s needed, while also balancing renewable energy sources and managing increasing pressure on the grid.

During the conversation, Anastasios and Dimitrios outlined the role that super intuitive technology has to play in the energy transition, giving insights into what can be done at industry level.  They discussed the SMPnet Omega suite of products, designed by the team to help utilities and power generators tackle critical energy challenges by maximising renewable energy integration, enhancing grid reliability, and enabling real-time optimisation.

The interview was also a great opportunity to speak about the evolution of the business and its growth which now includes a cutting-edge innovation hub in the Athens office, building on the success of its technology roll out in the UK, Spain and beyond.
